Hua
Hin
One of Thailand's biggest and most popular resorts,
Hua-Hin now attracts hundreds of thousands of people
to its golden coastline every year from all over
the world.

with restaurants, bars, clubs and all the usual
tourist passions, Hua-Hin is now a fully fledged
international holiday destination.

Hin Klai Kangwon Palace
King Phra Pokklao had this royal residence
built in 1962 and the current royal family still
use it as a base. A permit must be obtained from
the Royal Household Office prior to a visit.
Khao
Takiap / Khao Krailat
These two hills are cool and shady and, on a clear
day, you can get an awesome panoramic view of the
province.

Tao
This hill looks out over two beautiful beaches,
Hat Sai Noi and Hat Sai Yai. Both are clean and
quiet.
Sea
Pine Tree Garden
The original name of this garden was 'Pradiphat
Garden Convalescence and Relaxation Area' and is
taken care of by the Army Welfare Office. There
are food shops and accommodatins for the public.

Khao
Sam Roi Yod National Park
The geographical characteristics of this park consist
of high limestone mountains, a wide prairie near
the sea shore and inlands. In addition it is also
the centre of various species and families of plants
and trees as well as the home of wild animals.
There
are three caves worth visiting in the compound of
the park:
1
- Tham Kaeo
A beautiful spot where you can go very deep so take
a torch.

- Tham Sai
On the same route as Tham Kaeo, you have to climb
the hill for a period of 20-30 minutes.

- Tham Phraya Nakhon
This cave is accessible by boat from Ban Bang Pu
which takes about 30 minutes. This is the largest
of the three caves and the most beautiful. There
are a couple of natural ventilation holes on the
roof of the cave allowing sun light to shine inside.
The
most popular attraction of the cave is Phra Thinang
Khuha Kharuhat, a four-gabled roofing pavilion constructed
during the reign of King Chulachomklao in 1890.
With its beauty and distinctive identity the pavilion
is now used as the symbol of Prachuap Khiri Khan.
There
are accommodation bungalows and a camping area for
those who require an overnight stay in the compound

Beaches...
Prachuap
Khiri Khan is noted for it's beautiful coastline.
These beaches are less crowded but equally as picturesque
as Hua-Hin, with much cheaper accommodation, usually
bungalows.
Ao
Prachuap
This bay is situated at opposite end of the province
from Hua Hin. Its beach is long and spotlessly clean,
as well as being considerablely less crowded. There
are bungalows operated by both the Provincial Administration
Organization and the Municipality for public service.
Hat
Wanakon
This seven km long beach has sea pine trees along
the shore throughut the length of the beach. Accommodation
can be reserved at the Faculty of Forest Affairs,
Kasetsart University, Tel :5790520.
Ao
Manao
Taken care of by the Royal Thai Airforce, a permit
needs to be obtained from the Commander of the 53rd
Squadron, Prachuap Khiri Khan prior to visit.
Wa
Ko
This locality has had historical importance since
the reign of King Rama IV. He famously chose this
spot to witness the full moon eclipes.
Ao
Mar Ramphung
The bungalows for rent here are very reasonable
and the beach itself is quiet and peaceful. As with
all the beaches in the area, it is spotless and
well maintained.

Bo Thonglang
This bay is a pleasant place having a clean beach
and is suitable for relaxing and swimming.
