Thailand can be easily
divided into five regions, the North, North-East, Central,
East and the South.
.
| The
North |
| - Live
amongst the hill tribes, experience century old values
and trek through some of Asia's most hostile landscape. |
| The
North-East |
| - Life
on the Mekong River. Check out remote villages, historic
temples and some of the friendliest people in Thailand . |
| Central
Thailand |
| - Immerse
yourself in the history of Siam in the many former
capital cities. Learn about the different ruling dynasties
and, of course, the heart-attack formerly known as
Bangkok! |
| The
East |
| - International
resorts and secluded bays sit side by side. Spectacular
coastline which leads to the Cambodian
border dotted with small islands. |
| The
South |
| |
The country's
richest sources of cultural history can be seen in the North
and North-East
where hill
tribes are still holding on to the traditional
values of Thai society. |
|
The central region, in and
around Bangkok,
is home to many former capital cities where historic buildings
and relics are well preserved to give a good insight into
the history of the many dynasties which have ruled The
Kingdom of Siam.
For golden sand beaches
and paradise
islands head south along the Gulf of Thailand
(East Coast) or the Andaman Sea (West Coast).
