The Gulf Of Thailand (East Coast)

The "capital" of student scuba diving in Thailand, the beautiful island of Koh Tao certifies more student each year than anywhere else on the planet!

Generally regarded as the best place to learn, the waters around "The Rock" offer the most diverse marine life anywhere in Asia.

Soft and hard coral, schools of tropical fish and various sharks (including the awesome Whaleshark!) never fails to impress!

Pattaya / The Far Islands
Diving the northern Gulf is centered around the off-shore islands and reefs off the coast of Pattaya, Thailand's original beach resort.

Certainly worth a look and an ideal way to get into the Thai dive scene!

The Andaman Sea (West Coast)

The Andaman Sea can also be divided into two distinct areas, the waters around the twin islands of Koh Phi Phi, Thailand's only true "deep dive" sites, and further north The Similan Islands, Surin Islands and The Burma Banks.

Krabi / Koh Phi Phi
In Krabi Province, the twin islands of Koh Phi Phi offer divers the only truly deep dives in Thailand , at Hin Daeng (Red Rock) & Hin Muang (Purple Rock).

Other gems to explore include the famous King Cruiser Wreck, Shark Point Marine Sanctuary, Anemone Reef and the beautiful islands of Koh Bida Nok - Koh Bida Noi.

Khao Lak / Similans / Surin Islands / Into Burma....
Now we're talking! Off the west coast north from Phuket, is the small bay town of Khao Lak, Phang-Nga Province - Gateway to the Similans, Surin & Burma Banks!

Probably the best diving in the whole of Asia, these sites are not for the faint hearted! Spectacular reefs, a wonderful variety of marine life, and as you head up into the Burma Banks...Sharks!

Ideally, you would need to be an already confident diver to fully appreciate the beauty of these waters, so the ideal compromise is to take the FULL Thailand scuba experience...

Gulf Coast or the South Andaman for courses and then head west for the ULTIMATE dive adventure!
