One of Thailand's 70 national parks, Koh Samet is popular with both foreign visitors and also a number of Thais, due to easy accessibility from Bangkok.

The island is just 7km long but has many small and spectacular beaches. The most popular are Ao Wong Deuan and Hat Sai Kaew (White Sand Beach).
