Places
Of Interest Although
Pattaya is seen as a "beach-during-the-day,
party-at-night" town, there are literally hundreds
of things to do during the sunshine hours. From
the awesome Mini Siam, to the handful of zoos and
some of Thailand's best water sports, Pattaya will
keep you entertained at all hours of the day!
Koh
Larn
The home of Pattaya
Scuba Diving! Pattaya's coastline and
surrounding waters are blessed with coral reefs
and the first dive shops in the country were open
around these shores.
Koh
Larn is the largest island off the coast and makes
an excellent getaway. Glass bottom boat tours are
available as well as snorkelling trips and the island
has some excellent seafood on offer.
Pattaya
Park - Jomtien Beach
A great day of fun! The water park will leave a
smile on your face and the cable jump will have
various body parts moving around!!
Mini
Siam/Mini Europe
- North Pattaya
Very well made model villages of Thai landmarks
and the recently opened Mini Europe featuring some
of the best known places around the continent. An
excellent day out, particularly as the sun goes
down and the floodlights come on!
Elephant
Village
- Siam Country Club Road
The stars of the show are, naturally, the elephants
themselves! The animals are very well cared for
by the staff and here you can find out just how
important these impressive creatures have been throughout
Siamese culture. Treks can be taken with experienced
guides.
Khao
Kheow Zoo
Over 100 species of birds as well as bears, elephants,
buffaloes, monkeys and snakes.
Tiger
Zoo
Just outside the city, this is a good day out. Along
with the tigers you can also see the crocodile nursery
and even watch eggs hatching. Daily shows.
Wat
Yansangwararam
A superb example of modern Thai architecture, the
Chinese museum in the grounds never ceases to impress!
After walking around for a while, have a rest in
the restaurant and sample some Chinese tea.
Carved
Buddha Image
Perfect
end to the day if you've been to Wat Yansangwararam.
The carving of the giant Buddha is etched into a
huge rock and is enhanced with gold.
