Patong
This bay has a beautiful long beach totalling a distance of several km suitable for swimming. The place comes alive at night with all the "traditional" Thai excesses of bars, karaoke and go-go bars.

Hat Rawai
This popular beach is famous for the Chao Le "Sea Gypsy" tribal village.

Laem Ka Noi and Laem Ka Yai
This cape, close to Hat Rawai, is safe for swimming.

Ao Kata and Ao Karon
These beautiful bays, next to each other, have clean beaches suitable for swimming and are fast becoming as popular as Patong for nightlife.

Ao Kata

Ao Karon

Hat Surin
This famous beach has fairly heavy surf rendering it sometimes unsuitable for swimming. There is a golf course above the beach line.

Hat Nai Han
Small but peaceful.

Hat Bang Tao
Beautiful spot! Predicted to be the next major tourist centre of Phuket, but so far still fairly quiet. Possibly the best of all of Phuket's beach areas.

Hat Nai Yang
A long secluded stretch of beautiful white sand.

Hat Mai Khao
Famous for large size sea turtles that come up on the beach to lay their eggs.
