Koh Samet

Koh Samet | Where To Stay | Beaches | Sports & Activities | How To Get Here

One of Thailand's 70 national parks, Koh Samet is popular with not just foreign visitors, but also a growing number of Thais, due to it's easy accessibility from Bangkok.

The island is just 7km long but has many small, beautiful beaches. The most popular are Ao Wong Deuan and Hat Sai Kaew and most of the better standard accommodation is here.

At the more secluded beaches, there are simple bungalows.

More and more places to eat are popping up and most international food is available as well as all the local specialities.

Steady development is gradually turning this tiny island into a full scale holiday destination with bars, restaurants and tour guides.

There are a few tiny uninhabited islands for excellent snorkelling and fishing. Most resorts have a booking office for boat trips.

Thanks to our friends at Koh Samet Island.
