Similans | Where To Stay | Beaches | Sports & Activities | How To Get Here

Scuba Diving enthusiasts should not miss the Similan Islands with its incredible underwater sightseeing. The water is so clear you can see it at depths of up to 30m.

At times, the Similans are referred to as Koh Kao or Nine Islands and true to the name, there are a total of nine islands with each island given a designated number along with a name.

The islands in order are:
Koh Bon, Koh Ba-Ngu, Koh Similan, Koh Payu, Koh Miang (two islands), Koh Payan, Koh Payang and Koh Hu Yong.

These nine islands are small and uninhabited except for park officials and occasional tourists. The beauty of these islands lies in the 32 bird species, both resident and migratory, along with reptiles, amphibians and mammals.
