Koh Sukhon

Koh Sukhon | Where To Stay | Beaches | Sports & Activities | How To Get Here

Koh Sukhon is a small island, just 8km x 4km, off the Satun coast inhabited by around 4,000 people, mainly fishermen. The population is centred in four villages dotted across the island.

The Sukhon community are very friendly people and welcome visitors to see how they live their lives. They will show you how they retrieve the fish from the waters and you'll see how to tap rubber from the trees.

Nearby are the group of tiny islands in the Koh Petra National Park. These are uninhabited, rocky islands but definately worth a boat trip. The most well known of these are Petra, Lao Liang and Takiang.
