Of Interest Phra
Mongkhon Ming Muang
A Buddhist sanctuary built amidst green trees houses
a Buddha image in the attitude of Subduing Mara
decorated with golden mosaic tiles, designed by
Chit Buabut and cast in 1965. It is a very beautiful
Buddha image.
Phuttha
Utthayan Reservoir
Three kilometers away from town, this huge reservoir
under the Irrigation Department offers a beautiful
scenery. It is an ideal place to visit with resorts
and food shops scattered all around.
Wat
Tham Saeng Phet
A meditation sanctuary, the school of Phra Achan
Cha Suphattho, the late abbot of Wat Nong Pa Phong
in Ubon Ratchathani. The large temple area consists
of the hilltop chapel with a principal Buddha image.
The
temple is set amidst rocks which reflect the light
and sparkle like diamonds. Monks of different nationalities
come here for meditation.
