Nam
Tok Bacho
This waterfall cascades from a very high cliff having
a strong current then turns into a pleasant flowing
stream through the forest. This is one of the most
beautiful waterfalls in the south.

Narathat
This white sandpowdered beach along the
coastline of the Pacific ocean is one of the
most beautiful in the south and remains unspoiled.
Bang
Nara Fishing Village
This quaint little village is lined with
high coconut groves along the beach front.
The houses are all built under the groves
and numbers of fishing boats can be seen in
the bay. |

Buddha Thaksin Ming Mongkon
This huge Sitting Buddha image was constructed
on top of Khao Kong Hill and is seen as the
principal place of worship in the province.
The
whole area occupies a large area of three
levels, surrounded by hills. The width the
Buddha is 15m and the height 24m.

This
area is right on the Malaysian border and people
of the two countries regularly visit each other.
The Malaysians do their shopping of consumer
goods and enjoy seafood in Thai restaurants
because of cheaper prices and the Thais do their
shopping in the markets of Rantau Panjang town.

Maha Maya Pagoda
This pagoda has a bell shape, hollow inside
and is in Ban Tak Bai, Royal residence when H.M.
the King makes an annual visit to the south.

Tanyoungmat
This hill is situated within beautiful scenic
surroundings and the local inhabitants spend their
official holidays and weekend days here.
Nam
Tok Chat Warin Forest Park
The waterfall itself, Chat Warin originates
in the Bukit Nawae Mountain and cascades down seven-levels
having a rest pavillion on the lowest level.

Produce Festival
Every September on the Bangnara River the locals
come together for boat racing, dove cooing contests(!!)
and to sell numerous hand made handicrafts.
