Almost 1,000km from Bangkok, the small province of Satun is one the four major southern centres where 80% of Thailand's muslim population live.

The National Marine Parks are the main attraction and are amongst the most beautiful spots in the Kingdom.

Satun also has a ferry service to Langkawi Island, a popular island just over the border into Malaysia.
